TyreGo Privacy Policy

Applies to the TyreGo Customer App and the TyreGo Mechanic App. Last updated: September 7, 2026.

Introduction

TyreGo connects customers who need tyre repair and roadside assistance with independent mechanics who provide that service. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect through the TyreGo Customer App and the TyreGo Mechanic App, why we collect it, how it is used and shared, and the choices you have. By using either app, you agree to the practices described here.

Information we collect

Customer App

Mechanic App

We do not ask for or store a name for customer accounts. Neither app includes a feature to upload photos, documents, or other personal files.

How we use this information

Location information

Customer App: we use location only to help you set the pickup/service point for a booking, while you are actively using the location picker in the app. We do not collect your location in the background.

Mechanic App: while you are toggled Online, your device location is collected and updated approximately every 15 seconds so nearby bookings can be matched to you and so a customer can see your position during an active job. This location collection continues even while the app is in the background or your screen is off, for as long as you remain Online — this is done through a foreground location service, which keeps a persistent, dismissible-only-by-going-Offline notification visible on your device for the entire time it is running, so you always know it is active. We stop collecting your location as soon as you go Offline.

How information is shared between customers and mechanics

Operating a booking requires sharing some information between the customer and mechanic involved. When you create a booking, your selected problem/vehicle type and your service address/location become viewable within the Mechanic App to mechanics who are Online and reviewing available bookings, so that a mechanic can choose to accept your job. Once a mechanic is assigned to your booking, their name, phone number, live location, and UPI payment address become viewable to you within the Customer App, so you can identify, track, and pay your mechanic.

Our intent is to share only what is needed to complete a booking, and we are actively working to further restrict this information to only the specific mechanic or customer involved in each booking. At this time, we are not able to guarantee that this information is technically limited to only the assigned or nearest mechanic for the period a booking remains open. We recommend not including any information beyond what is needed for the tyre service itself when creating a booking.

Notifications

We use your device's push-notification token to deliver booking-status updates (Customer App) and job-offer alerts (Mechanic App). A job-offer notification sent to a mechanic contains only the problem type, vehicle type, and approximate distance to the job — not the customer's exact address. You can control notification permissions at any time from your device settings.

Payments

TyreGo supports two payment methods for a completed job: cash, paid directly to the mechanic, or UPI, paid directly to the mechanic's own UPI address using your own UPI app. Payment itself happens directly between you and the mechanic — TyreGo does not operate a payment gateway and does not process or move funds. We only record which method was used and whether the mechanic has confirmed payment was received.

TyreGo does not collect, process, or store your card number, CVV, PIN, or online/mobile banking login credentials, under any circumstances.

Firebase and Google services we use

TyreGo is built on Firebase and Google Cloud services, which process data on our behalf:

These providers process data as part of operating TyreGo; please refer to Google's own privacy documentation for how Google handles data as our infrastructure provider.

Data retention

We keep your account and booking information for as long as your account exists, so that booking history, billing records, and service quality can be maintained. We do not currently run any automatic, time-based deletion of this data. If a push-notification token is later found to be invalid, we remove it. Data is removed or de-identified when you delete your account, as described below.

Account deletion

You can request deletion of your account and profile data at any time.

TyreGo Customer App Settings → Delete Account
TyreGo Mechanic App Profile → Delete Account

Deletion cannot complete while you have an active booking or job in progress; you'll need to complete or cancel it first. If you no longer have access to your app, you can request deletion using the page and contact details at tyrego-8ef17.web.app/account-deletion.html.

When your deletion request completes, we:

Completed or cancelled booking records may be retained in an anonymized, de-identified form: the record is disconnected from your name, phone number, and other personal identifiers, while non-identifying service and payment details (such as service type, amount, and timestamps) may be kept for legitimate accounting, operational, and dispute-resolution purposes. Historical records are not all immediately and permanently erased at the moment of deletion — some information may continue to exist in this de-identified form as described above.

Administrative access

A small number of authorized TyreGo staff can access booking records, mechanic profile information, and limited customer account details (such as phone number and account timestamps) through our internal admin tools, solely to operate the service, provide support, and manage the mechanic network — including suspending a mechanic account that violates our terms. Admin staff do not have a tool to edit your personal profile information or delete your account on your behalf; account deletion is a self-service action you take yourself, as described above.

Security

We use industry-standard safeguards to protect your information, including authenticated access to our systems, access-control rules that govern who and what can read or write data, and encrypted transmission between your device and our servers. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security of your information. We continue to review and improve our practices over time.

Children's privacy

TyreGo is intended for general use related to vehicle repair and roadside assistance services and is not directed at children. Our apps are not designed to attract children, and we do not knowingly request account information for the purpose of identifying or targeting a child user. Our apps do not currently include an age-verification or age-gating mechanism, so we are not able to confirm the age of any individual user. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us using the details below and we will take appropriate steps.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time as TyreGo's features change. We will post the updated policy on this page with a revised "Last updated" date. Continuing to use either app after an update means you accept the revised policy.
